Usefull Tips

Documents required

A passport that is valid for six months after the last day of your trip is required. If your passport expires before then, please renew it right away. You will fill out a "tourist card" during your international flight. Do not lose your stamped copy of this card as you will need to present it exiting the country. A departure tax of approximately $30 is assessed on your departure from Argentina. No visa for U.S. or U.K. passport holders; residents of other countries should check with their Argentine Embassy prior to travel for visa requirements.

Medical Supplies
Bear in mind that you will be in rural areas and may be a long way from the nearest pharmacy; so take any medical supplies you think you might require in addition to aspirin, band-aids and other incidentals.

Food and Beverage
The excellent food is accompanied by excellent wines product of the renowned Argentine vineyards. Argentina offers you the choice of world famous Argentine beef, international cuisine or ethnic foods at excellent and countless restaurants which cater for the tastes of visitors from all over the world.

Electric Current
220 volts. A standard European adapter for two-pronged plugs should work fine.

ATM & Currency
There are several ATMs in town. But keep in mind that in many areas of the National Park, there is no cell phone coverage, internet access or ATMs.
The official currency is the Argentina Pesos, but mostly bussiness accepts US Dollars and Credit Cards.
